2025 Macarthur RFPA Charity Golf Day

What a great day the Golfing Gods delivered for the Macarthur RFPA Charity Golf Day. We had 14 teams hit off in the freshness of the early morning dew with the winning team for the 2nd year being the Narellan Police Team of Paul Albury, Thomas Dodd, Daniel Schiavello, and Paul Richardson. Other winners on the day were Barry Butt and Tim Addison for the Nearest to the Pin and the Longest Drive being Matt Harvey and Ben Wilson.

Many thanks to our Major Sponsors, The Police Bank, Club Menangle, Campbelltown Catholic Club, Barry Jones of Jones XL Security and Glen Cantrill of IDP and all of the other supporters that assisted in the raising of over $18,000 which made this a fantastic success.

Also, thanks to Lakeside Golf Club for ensuring that, along with the Sponsors and Supporters we are in a position to purchase the KanMed Baby Bed Warmer System for the Special Care Unit of the Neonatal Department at Campbelltown Hospital.

An ineffable day was had by all with the promise of a bigger Day for the Event on the 28th May, 2026.

At the Macarthur RFPA Charity Golf Day, I had the opportunity to thank Boyd Stewart from the Police Bank for their generous and continued Sponsorship and support for our Golf Day.

Since its inception, the Police Bank has been an integral fixture at the Golf Day, not only with the Sponsorship but with the nomination of a Team to play on the Day.

A presentation was made to Barry Jones of XL Jones Security who is a former Detective and member of our Branch for his munificent Sponsorship that assisted in raising over $18,000 for our Charity Golf Day.

A small intimate group of our members braved the cold wintery conditions and attended the Macarthur Memorial Park which is Sydney’s newest Cemetery for a Presentation from John Dickinson and Shelley Pettiford which also included the rich history surrounding the local area.

We also presented John with a certificate and thanked him on behalf of the Macarthur Memorial Park for their Sponsorship of our Branch.

The Park is now opened for interment and any applications for a position, should contact Shelley
