OBE PRESENTATIONS – August 2023
(Not Order of the British Empire but Over Bloody Eighty)
I recently had the pleasure of catching up with two of our RFPA Members namely William John
HENDERSON and Reginald Gordon TELFORD to present then with their respective RFPA
Veterans’ Membership Certificates. Both members were unable to attend our AGM meeting or
our social get-together for presentation in Coffs Harbour.
Hence, I drove to Bills address at Nambucca Heads 16th June and presented his OBE.
Congratulations Bill on being a recipient of your Veteran Membership. Bill has not been well.
Similarly, I caught up with Reg Telford on 27th July because he had a Dr’s appointment in Coffs
Harbour. He attended the C.ex Club, where we had a cuppa and I completed my presentation.
He has not been well. Congratulations Reg.
DATES TO REMEMBER
Tuesday/22nd August 2023, Jetty Foreshores at our usual haunt for a roasted chicken lunch.
We will provide the coleslaw, bread etc. You guys provide your own drinks, and other salads and nibbles to your own liking.
