2023 RFPA AGM

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2023

MEMBERS are advised that the AGM of the Association will be held at 11am on Monday 31 st July
2023 at Club York, 95 York St SYDNEY.
The current health warnings may make it advisable to have a mask on hand in the Club.
 Only financial MEMBERS are entitled to vote at this meeting.
 Only financial MEMBERS are entitled to stand for office at this meeting.
 Proxy votes (a limit of five complying proxies per financial MEMBER attending the meeting)
may be exercised at this meeting. In order to comply, proxy votes must be signed and the
Secretary must be able to identify the proxy through detail recorded on the prescribed
forms, as a financial MEMBER. The forms must be lodged with the Secretary 24 Hours prior
to the meeting’s advertised starting time.
 Please note, that under current Rules, an ASSOCIATE is not a MEMBER for the purposes of
voting.

VOTING RULES:
(These have changed significantly under Provisions of the 2022 Constitution, and allow Proxy Voting
we have used in the past, whereas the Model Constitution, referred to in previous Notices of AGM,
precludes that form of voting)
Extract, 2022 RFPA Constitution
Part 8(3) Voting –
(a) On a question arising at any meeting of the Association, each Member has one personal
vote only and additionally by proxy but no such Member may hold more than five
proxies.
(b) A Member is not entitled to vote at any meeting of the Association unless all money due
and payable by the Member has been paid.

Part 8(4) Appointment of proxies –
(a) Each Member entitled to a personal vote under clause 8.3 is entitled to appoint another
such Member as their proxy by written notice given to the Secretary no later than 24
hours before the meeting commences in respect of which the proxy is appointed.
