This website and the RFPA Vale Notices are run independently from the Police Department, the Police Association and the excellent Cal’s Australian Police website. A dedicated team of RFPA volunteers maintains these pages to ensure members are notified of the passing of colleagues and friends.
The Vale pages are offered as a service to our members and rely entirely on volunteer support. Please be aware of the following:
- Sources of information: Vale notices are received from a variety of sources, including Police Protocol, family members, RFPA colleagues, and friends of the deceased.
- Coverage: We do not receive notices for all Police deaths. Not all notices relate to RFPA members whose details we hold. As a service to our members, we may also post information about non‑members when it is provided to us.
- Verification: Notices are published only when information has been received and confirmed. In some cases, funerals or other events may already have taken place before we are notified.
- Accuracy: For RFPA members, we generally have accurate personal information from our records. For non‑members, we rely on external sources and cannot always verify every detail.
- Corrections: If you notice an error, please advise us so it can be corrected. However, please understand that inaccuracies in non‑member notices may occur, as these details are not drawn from RFPA records.
