\u201cGOD, WE KNOW IT IS FROM YOU THAT WE HAVE LEARNED WHAT GOODNESS AND JUSTICE ARE.<\/em> YOU HAVE GIVEN MEMBERS OF THE NEW SOUTH WALES<\/em> POLICE SERVICE THE TASK OF MAINTAINING LAW AND<\/em> ORDER IN THIS COMMUNITY. WE SEEK THE STRENGTH TO<\/em> MEET THE MANY CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED IN THIS<\/em> ENDEAVOUR. GIVE US THE COURAGE AND THE RESOLUTION<\/em> TO DO OUR DUTY AT ALL TIMES, AND SUCH A RESPECT AND<\/em> LOVE FOR JUSTICE, THAT NEITHER PROMISE NOR THREAT,<\/em> WILL EVER MAKE US DEPART FROM IT.<\/em> ENABLE US, BY YOUR PRESENCE, TO BE PROTECTOR OF THE<\/em> ENDANGERED, FRIEND TO ALL ,AND ROLE MODEL TO THE<\/em> CHILDREN AND YOUTH OF THE COMMUNITY. WHEN CALLED<\/em> UPON TO BE ADVISER, MAY WE BE INSPIRED WITH YOUR<\/em> WISDOM AND TRUTH.<\/em> GRANT US THE SKILL AND WISDOM WE NEED TO TRIUMPH<\/em> OVER WRONG, IN OUR ROLE OF PROTECTING THE<\/em> COMMUNITY. GUIDE US, IN KNOWING WHEN TO ENFORCE,<\/em> AND WHEN TO RELAX THE LETTER OF THE LAW. HELP US TO<\/em> BE PERSONAL EXAMPLES OF THE HONESTY, THE GOODNESS,<\/em> AND THE JUSTICE WHICH IT IS OUR DUTY TO MAINTAIN,<\/em> AND GRANT THAT OUR ACTIONS WILL INSPIRE IN OUR<\/em> COMMUNITY, CONFIDENCE IN ITS POLICE OFFICERS.<\/em> WE MAKE OUR PRAYER THROUGH YOU, THE ONE TRUE LIFE AFFIRMING GOD\u201d.<\/em>
