It is that time of the year again when many of us get the
various types of flu that are around. Each year the symptoms
seem to be more severe and a different type of strain. As I have
mentioned before it is important to ensure we take the necessary
safeguards to prevent or lessen the impact of the viruses by
having a flu injection.
Over the past few months I have been in touch with many of
our members throughout the state who for some reason or another
have not been enjoying the best of health. As I have mentioned
before, I look forward to the various branches getting in touch
with me either by phone of email where they have members who are
not so fortunate health wise. I appreciate the assistance given.
Just recently I had a call from a serving Police Officer
concerning a retired Officer going through bad times health wise
and doing it tough, who is not a member of the Association. I am
in the process of arranging help for him and of course arranging
for him to join the Association. Many former Officers are not
members of the Association and I ask everyone who is a member to
encourage those you know who are not, to join. In the meantime,
I wish everyone well, to those not so fortunate, I wish you a
speedy recovery. Thank you for your support.
Take care of yourselves and others.
