Our February meeting was held with Warren Martin in the chair.
The following members were in attendance - Ross Beattie, Lesley
Martin, Carl Cameron, Sue and Bob Waites, Bill Leadbeatter, Bruce
Williams, Phil Scott, Gordon Dafter, Alan Greenland, Barry Inall,
Tony Sneddon, Johnn Barber, Warren Cole and Greg Muir. We also
appreciated the visit from Kent Vild, City of Sydney Branch.
Apologies were received from Richard Smith, John Schell, John Davis,
John Andrews, Barney Fyfe, Kerry Larsen, Les Potter, Phil Pearce and
It was good to see Gordon in attendance after the sad loss of his
wife, Val, late last year. Les Potter’s absence was due to a very
bad fall that nearly resulted in dire consequences.
Bob Waites gave us a very interesting insight into their trips to
the Galapagos Islands and Antartica, with great photography of flora
Our April meeting was held with Warren Martin acting Chairman.

We have a few of our senior members in the wars at the moment.
Gordon Dafter and John Howard have both been convalescing at local
hospitals, John after having had 2 falls, one of which was in Mt
Wilga. We have other members going through health problems at the
moment and wish them all well.
Speaking of wars, Barrry Inall gave an intersting talk about his
father’s service during WW1 and his encounter with Lawrence of
Arabia. He certainly held everyone’s interest.
Many thanks to our own John Graham who often goes heard but
unseen at Police funerals and functions.
