The main aims of The Retired Police Association of New South Wales Incorporated, are the following:

• To safeguard and where possible, improve the interests and welfare of members

• To provide comradeship and consideration for members, caring for those members who are ill and offering all practicable assistance; offering assistance and consolation to those bereaved by a member passing away and attending the funeral of such members

• To offer opportunity for the development and advancement of the intellectual, social and cultural interests of members

• To provide regular meetings for members, to provide social contacts for members with others of similar interests and background and provide opportunity for members to join in discussions and talks as well as visit places and organisations of mutual interest and

• To provide for the development of a spirit of companionship and camaraderie amongst members encouraging the social and active participation of members in the activities of this Association at minimum expense
